Bio
Over the last two decades, Billy Estrada’s songs have led him on a variety of journeys from dive bars to churches, from weddings to funerals, from Vegas to vineyards. The inspiration and soul of his music can be found in the quiet countryside of Santa Margarita, a fish pond in Louisiana, a plate of down-home cuisine, or the joy of his life – his wife. With lyrics that are honest and relatable, and music that does everything from make you groove, smile, or cry, Estrada strives for authenticity, knowing that listeners can always hear and feel the truth.
Estrada has been labeled as “a soulful song stylist”, “authentic”, “heart and soul driven”, and “a phenomenal harmonica player"; always providing a soulful expression to the diversified musical styles he writes in. "Estrada and band are able to transport us to another musical place like a brotherhood of gypsy players both mesmerizing and ear catching all at a toe tapping pace", writes FM Granados of FMG Entertainment.
When asked to sum up his sound once, Estrada said, "Soul, Blues, Country, Roots music with LYRICS, or in short: If Ray Charles, The Allman Brothers, B.B.
